The final two fights of Oleksandr Usyk’s illustrious career will be in the heavyweight division, and no lower.

The Ukrainian slickster recently revealed to talkSPORT.com that he will face the winner of Daniel Dubois vs Joseph Parker in his next fight.

After which, he is expected to have one more bout before hanging up his gloves.

Usyk isn’t certain who his final bow will come against but he did confirm that it will be at heavyweight.

The former cruiserweight king ruled out a move back to his original weight class and turned his nose up at the idea of fighting in the newly erected bridgerweight division.

The weight class (200lbs-224lbs), which sits between cruiserweight and heavyweight, was established in 2020 and is recognised by two of the four major sanctioning bodies – the WBC and WBA.

Usyk could technically become a three-weight world champion if he were to win a fight against one of the two champions at the weight, although its lack of prestige means it is of no interest to the future Hall of Famer.

“I will say no,” he told talkSPORT.com. “I don’t think about it.

“I have cruiserweight and heavyweight. Bridgerweight is new? Only one belt?

Mike Tyson has singled out his ‘smartest’ opponent from a career that featured wins over Larry Holmes, Frank Bruno and Evander Holyfield.

Iron Mike, who became the youngest heavyweight champion of the world in 1986 at the age of 20, will go down as one of the all-time greats.

In total, the New York-born fighter took part in 58 professional bouts between 1985 and 2005, where he recorded 50 wins and just six defeats.

He often displayed unrivalled power and speed, with his impressive record of 44 victories via knockout being a testament to Tyson’s relentless style.

But which one of his opponents was the smartest?

Buster Douglas shocked the world with a 10th-round knockout of Tyson in 1990, while Lennox Lewis recorded a famous KO win against “the Baddest Man on the Planet” in 2002.

However, former heavyweight champion Larry Holmes was Tyson’s stand-out opponent when it came to ring intelligence.

After the pair came to blows in 1988 when Tyson was just 21, Iron’ Mike emerged victorious with a fourth-round knockout, inflicting a third straight defeat for the long-time heavyweight champion.

When previously asked to name the smartest he came up against, the 58-year-old told The Ring: “Larry Holmes was the smartest of all. It comes with being a champion for seven years.”

Tyson went on to name Holmes as having the best defence, adding: “Even though I did win inside the distance, he was very tough to hit cleanly.”

“Del Boy” faces a tall task when he squares off against Otto Wallin on Saturday at the Co-Op Arena in Manchester, England. While Chisora (35-13, 23 KOs) is entering his last bout in the UK, Wallin (27-2, 15 KOs) is looking to find his way back into the title picture in the heavyweight division and could be on to bigger and better things with a win.

The two had a contentious staredown at the weigh-in Friday, which concluded with Chisora putting the Swedish heavyweight in a headlock.

“I put the fear of God in him,” Chisora said in the aftermath.

Chisora is coming off of a decision win over Joe Joyce in his last fight, while Wallin got a first-round knockout of Onoriode Ehwarieme.

Here are the keys to victory for both Chisora and Wallin.

It’s no secret the kind of fight that’d need to take place to play to the advantages of both fighters.

If Chisora is going to pull off the upset, it needs to be an ugly, phone booth-type of fight. Chisora thrives when he’s on the inside and battering his opponent with hooks and uppercuts.

Digging the body will also be imperative for Chisora. The odds he’ll be able to catch Wallin early are low, so investing in the body and getting the 6-foot-6 southpaw to slow down later in the fight will likely be Chisora’s best bet to end his “Last Dance” on a high note.

Wallin (27-2, 15 KOs) was a little-known prospect when he was picked to face Tyson Fury in 2019. However, in a shocking twist, Wallin extended Fury the 12-round distance and famously opened a huge cut over Fury’s right eye, which required 47 stitches. Wallin has since won seven of his past eight bouts, losing only to Anthony Joshua in late 2023.

Tiger Woods’ return to the PGA Tour has been locked in.

Tournament organisers at the Genesis Invitational confirmed the 15-time major winner will form part of the field on February 13.

It marks Woods’ first PGA Tour event since the Open last July, where he sadly missed the cut.

Woods spent further time away from the fairways following the Open after undergoing surgery on his lower back last September.

He returned to action in December at the PNC Championship, an event not part of the PGA Tour, where he played alongside his 15-year-old son Charlie.

Woods was also involved in two matches at his new venture, TGL, where he is part of the Jupiter Links GC team.

The 49-year-old went on to make history for all the wrong reasons at the hi-tech, indoor golf league as he became the first player to commit a shot clock violation.

This year’s edition of the Genesis Invitational marks the first time since 1998 it has not been held at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, a neighbourhood in Los Angeles.
